Our lead practitioner, Sam, has been working with Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans since they took over from Statements of Special Needs in 2014. 

Firstly, as a Needs Assessor for a local authority, working to the 2014 Code of Practice when it came into effect, then working with schools and colleges to understand how the new code changed the expectations upon the setting and the funding they receive to support learners with SEND.

 

Since 2021 she has also been sitting regularly in the First Tier Tribunal for SEND.
